Zuber K. Khan with F.A.R.T Magazine-

An Exclusive Interview

Born to an orthodox Muslim family it was not easy to convince the family about his passion, but that never led Zuber K. Khan off-track and he never stopped dreaming!

Zuber K. Khan

Zuber K. Khan who is 4- Bollywood-film-old now, started working when he was 19 just to reach Mumbai, the Land of Cinema. 10 years from then his works have proved his ardour for acting which his family accepted and is proud of his success. Bollywood too isn’t that welcoming to the apathetic ones it’s for the most fervent humans, Zuber K. Khan has completed 4 movies and is expecting Pagal Kar Diya Toone to release this 11th and Dosti Ke Side Effects on February 8th, and one on April(name of the movie isn’t confirmed yet) which spells out that Bollywood is reciprocating Zuber K. Khan’s love!

Cinema has always impassioned Zuber K. Khan

Zuber K. Khan

Though he had done albums, ads, and television episodes, he always wanted to dance on a song that was totally made for him. Zuber believed that movies had the liberty which other medias didn’t possibly have, he was behind characters that gave him the scope to act out various emotions, the point what makes the profession called ‘Acting’ significant. But he is thankful to modelling and acting in soaps as those gave him immeasurable learning experiences, he takes these as the first step in his career and reckons that there are more steps to climb. When Zuber was asked if he was satisfied with where he has reached in life at the moment, he answered with the cute smile he always carries, “Movies are similar to the tasty food you have, you will feel like having more and more.”

The Humble Actor Who Believes in Audition

Khan still prefers to be casted after an audition, it’s unbelievable that an actor who has done enough movies says the directors and producers to audition him to give them a reassurance that he is perfect for the character they offered him. He values the effort of how a movie is made, which is a perfectionist’s flair. This method of his has made the auditioner take selfie with the auditionee and post on Instagram most of the time! He wouldn’t mind losing roles this way as he believes everything happens for good.

F.A.R.T Magazine is electrified like any other fan of his as his movie Pagal Kar Diya Toone is releasing on this 11th, just 3 more days to go, here is what Zuber K. Khan has to say:

To Bollywood…

Zuber K. Khan

“The journey started quite before. From 11th standard, when I was a 16 year old I started with the workout regime though that happened because a girl put across a challenge. I thank her for that. After 12th I was awarded the Best Dancer Award from my school, and later during B.tech, received the title of Mr. Fresher, all these motivated me to this career. In 2011, I reached Mumbai from Bhopal, did a few ads. I was awarded with Mr. India pageant in 2012, which made me think Model turned Actor was the best option for me. These opened the door of opportunity to the first film Lekar Hum Deewana Dil.”

Any plans to take up the role of the Electronics and Telecommunication Engineer any time soon in real life…

Zuber K. Khan

“Engineering was something that I completed for my parents, otherwise I would have opted for Mass Media and Communication. I topped my last semester with 89% and even got placements at TCS and INFOSYS, but I let that down as I always wanted someone to take me to the front of the camera and make me act, that’s only what I know!”

Enacting any characters that later brought regret…

“Some 6 years back I had, but later in life I became strong and learned that they aren’t mere regrets but some wonderful experiences which is part of life and work. That character in the short-film had some not that good scenes but now-a-days what I see on Netflix makes me think, why did I face so much of negative comments though the video had so much of views (laughs). From then on, I understood if you think you are working on something wrong automatically others would say the same. I was mistook by a few and was disheartened for that back then. Now I have grown to be strong.”

Choosing the roles…

Zuber K. Khan

“Unlike initially, I read in depth about my character, I don’t check how many scenes I have but definitely the importance of my character is what I scrutinize. I even check how the they are planning to portray the character and even involves into the technical stuffs too, like what camera is going to be used, the resolution and all that. As I think, if the product is good, eventually the actor will be recognized. I would prefer experienced team, though I wouldn’t reject the new-comers as I too have had that point in my career.”

New-comer’s movie sometimes fail at the box-office even if it is well received by the small-screen audience, and some actors are never repeated for that reason, thus effecting the growth of the actors itself…

“Let me answer that giving my movie itself as an example. The Dream Job was released along side Akshay Kumar’s Toilet- Ek Prem Katha, so my movie didn’t have much screens, but that didn’t really matter as the movie was bought by Amazon Prime. Personally, for me this acting is beyond money-making, actors aren’t repeated as they charge more as their movie has done great off the big-screen, this may not be appreciated by the producers. Once you make the producer rich by creating a box-office hit, may be you can demand, personally, not unless that. My mom used to ask me to get the best for cheap always (chuckles). At least we need to get the best for a reasonable price, I try to give the same to my producer.”

Sharing screen with Mugdha Godse…

“I am honoured to work with an actress who has already been for so long in the industry. I feel blessed to have the chance to act with her, as I have seen her performing even when I was a college student. Just too supportive and down-to-earth she is!”

The most flattering remark…

“I am a rare found combination it seems, as they have seen people with rugged face and rugged body or cute face and cute body. You see I am blushing, when I say this (blushing). I haven’t thanked any who said I have a cute face and sexy body, I just blush.”

The tattoo in Arabic on your wrist…

Zuber K. Khan

“That’s my favourite name-Ayesha, my mom’s name is Ayesha, I used to love Ayesha Takia(laughs).”

Your cat-son Chulbul…

Zuber K. Khan

“(Laughs) I love him, he is as innocent and funny as I am. He has developed a new habit he comes and sits on my shoulder whenever he finds me ready to leave home.”

Zuber K. Khan

Just like you and me, Zuber K Khan is eager to know what would be the response as there are two movies all set to release. Wish you all the best, Zuber K. Khan!
